With the chilly weather outside, we embraced the opportunity to try intentional grouping inside—rotating between our upper and lower Pre-K spaces. This gave children a chance to interact with a broader group of peers, fostering new friendships beyond their usual circles.
One interesting observation: the children upstairs were more likely to pause for a grazing snack—taking little breaks to refuel before jumping back into play!

Notable Moments from the Week
✨ Creative Exploration: Some friends were captivated by needlework, eagerly engaging in this fine motor activity.
⚽ Soccer Fun: On Friday, a group of children turned our rainbow blocks into soccer goals! One friend even stood inside the goal to kick the ball back out, adding an exciting twist to the game.
Navigating Rest Time Challenges
Rest time can be a tricky part of the day. While some children settle in easily, others find it more challenging to relax and unwind. Whether it’s a burst of extra energy, a need for comfort, or simply not feeling tired, each child approaches rest in their own way.
To help make this time smoother, we focus on building trust and consistency—offering quiet reassurance, gentle routines, and opportunities for connection. Over time, we see children grow more comfortable, learning to embrace the pause in their day as a moment of rest and reset. These small victories, whether it’s finding comfort in a routine or simply lying still for a few minutes, remind us that patience and understanding go a long way in supporting each child’s needs.
As we wrap up the week, we’re grateful for the new friendships, discoveries, and small yet significant milestones that make each day so special. Looking forward to more learning and laughter ahead!
